On the 4th Dan became a big brother!

Swimming

Today Dan finished his first term of swimming lessons.  When he started he had no water skills.  Now he is very confident about putting his face and head under.  He can count fingers held under the water, and this morning he went under to touch the bottom of the pool with his hands.  He can float assisted on front and back and does all sorts of tricks on a noodle that I don’t understand.  I am still very proud. 

Finding Dinosaurs

Last night I hid a couple of dinosaurs, where I was directed ‘under the rug’. So Danny could be like ‘Nigel’ and find the dinosaurs.

This activity has grown into an adventure of hiding every large & small dinosaur in reasonably difficult places all over the lounge room while Danny shuts himself outside the door. When all the dinosaurs are hidden, he puts on a head torch and starts ‘finding dinosaurs’.

Lunch out and about

We had lunch at a cafe yesterday. Immediately after sitting at the table Dan was turning the salt and pepper shakers upside down and shaking. His Dad moved them to the adjacent table. Lunch went well until mid way through Dan asked “Where’s the glitter gone?”
